2019 – MERCEDES-BENZ A CLASS EDITION 1

It is already a tradition in Mercedes-Benz that all the new models that debut for the first time in the line, have a special edition during the first year of life in the market, already known ‘Edition 1’, equipped with many systems of comfort and safety which are usually optional, as well as a more elaborate exterior and interior image. And the new Mercedes-Benz A Class is not out of this formula, so that by March 5, 2019, the A Class Edition 1 can be purchased from dealers of the German brand, which in this new generation of the compact arrives with an exterior design much more sporty, and will go on sale with all the mechanical offer, the A 180d, A 200 and A 250, and will arrive in the second half of this year. The ‘Edition 1’ special edition of the new Mercedes-Benz A Class features the attractive ‘Night’ design package – also optionally available with the ‘Progressive’ and ‘AMG Line’ finishes – which enhances the sporty look of the body adding detail in black with yellow inserts, so that in the front view the grid with diamond pattern features a black hive bottom and a chrome insert. In addition, the outer rearview mirror housings are painted black, just as the edges of the frames and the edge of the glazed surface are painted in glossy black. In the case of this special edition ‘Edition 1’, the aluminum wheels are 19 inches in series, with a multi-spoke design painted black and with a thin yellow border. The rear bumper has a more sporty design, with vertical air intakes at the ends of the part, the exhaust is integrated with black frames and an insert that remarks the presence of the yellow color.

Inside it features the leather-trimmed dashboard top with contrasting yellow stitching, just as the sports seats are upholstered with a combination of leather and microfiber and the door panels are upholstered with the same materials as the seats. 64-color ambient lighting is optional in standard versions, but in Edition 1 it is standard, allowing the air-conditioning outputs with turbine design to illuminate giving a special effect thanks to its chrome finish. In addition, the three spoke steering wheel – decorated with a chrome finish – features the flattened bottom and perforations in the part of the footprint.

2019 – MERCEDES-BENZ A CLASS SEDAN US VERSION

Although for a few years the compact sedan body market was not much in demand, designers have been able to create much more stylish aesthetics than the 1990s and 2000s. This is reflected perfectly in the new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan, which arrives to make more difficult things for the Audi A3 Sedan. The Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan was recently unveiled in its European version, but now the brand of Stuttgart brings new images and several important information of the version that will reach the dealers of the United States at the beginning of next year of 2019. Its official presentation will take place during the next Paris Salon 2018, from next October 4. The new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan will be manufactured in Aguascalientes (Mexico) and Rastatt (Germany). With its three-door four-door body, the new model boasts a world-leading aerodynamics, with a Cx of 0.22, thus improving the numbers of the Mercedes-Benz CLA. It measures 4.55 meters in length and its wheelbase is of 2.73 meters. The capacity of the trunk is 420 liters. You can buy 4runner car covers from here.

While the Mercedes-Benz CLA was looking for a four-door aesthetic coupe with a very strong body, which had a negative impact on the access and habitability for the rear seats, the German brand says that in the A Class Sedan these two aspects have been remarkably improved, with a simple access and an interior with a good height to the ceiling. In relation to the engines, the new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan will arrive offering four different versions at first. However, it is expected that in a few months after its launch it will have more options. You will arrive with two gasoline engines and one diesel. The A 200 engine will be in charge of opening the gasoline line, being available with both a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed automatic 7G-DCT. It has 1.3 liters and develops 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The A 220 4Matic will be the top of the line in principle, with a 2.0-liter engine with 190 hp and 300 Nm, automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The only diesel engine known so far will be the A 180d, a 1.5-liter block with 116 hp and 260 Nm, also coupled to the 7G-DCT automatic transmission.

2019 – MERCEDES-BENZ C CLASS ESTATE

The Mercedes-Benz booth at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show promises to be one of the most interesting at the event. There will be the new Mercedes-Benz C Class, but it will not be the only major news. In addition to the renewed line of the sedan (and turbo), the Germans will present the new AMG G 63 and A Class in addition to the expected AMG GT4. In comparison with the latter, the new C Class will not be the one that will attract more attention. And not because it does not deserve it, but because in reality it is a very light update of the current generation, which was introduced in the market in 2014. As usual, the brand wanted to make a small facelift in the model so that it continues to be interesting in relation to an increasingly strong competition. The new Mercedes-Benz C Class incorporates new bumpers, headlights and flashlights subtly updated in its exterior design. It will remain available with several lines of equipment that not only affect your exterior image, but also your equipment and interior decoration. These finishing lines are the AMG Line, Exlcusive, Avantgarde, plus the basics. One of the most significant exterior novelties has to do with headlamps, which can now incorporate Multibeam LED technology with a large light capacity, as each headlight is composed of 84 independent LEDs that can be controlled individually and accurately. In the technological part were added new driving assistants that give the model a semi-autonomous driving ability under certain circumstances.

Inside there are changes in the instrument panel and electronic systems. The Mercedes-Benz C Class 2019 can equip a 12.3-inch digital screen that makes up the dashboard and a multimedia system with screen up to 10.25 inches. It also changes the steering wheel, which now has touch buttons, as well as the command to handle the multimedia equipment. We will know more details – motorizations, equipment and prices – after its presentation in Geneva.

2019 – MERCEDES-BENZ CITAN TOURER RED DESIGN

The Mercedes-Benz Citan, the German brother of Renault Kangoo meant a novelty in the brand of the star when it debuted. It was the first foray into the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle division in the segment of light-duty vehicles for passenger services and transport professionals. On sale since 2012, it has accumulated no less than seven years in the market, with a new generation that will still be delayed for at least a year. Thus, the Citan Tourer has a series of improvements to face the last stage of its commercial life, including new safety systems and a new generation of engines, improvements that are also available in Citan Van from March. The aesthetic part is improved thanks to red details that give a more sporting appearance, in the form of stickers on the lower edge of the air intake of the front bumper, on the rearview mirror housings and combined with other gray colored strips under the doors side to the rear wheel arches. A chrome rim on the radiator grille and rear cover completes the improvements.

The interior also shows red details with the ‘Color Interior Design’ package, which includes red edges for the exits of the climate control system and the speakers, and use that color for the seams of the front seats and head rests. The second package is called ‘Chrome Design’ and features chrome details for the same elements as the previous one. The Citan Tourer also has seats with a new, more comfortable backrest and a side support, a new folding rear seat, increasing cargo volume and new safety systems such as the ADAPTIVE ESP electronic stability control, standard on all versions, plus of having light and rain sensor, tire pressure control and the option of the rear view camera with screen in the rear view mirror. Mercedes-Benz already announced the start of the commercialization of units with the new Renault 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine associated with a new six-speed manual transmission, a mechanical combination available in three power levels that complies with the new Euro 6d-TEMP emission standard.

2019 – MERCEDES-BENZ G 350d

The line of the new Mercedes-Benz G Class is quite sparse. Since the iconic German all-terrain has undergone its timely generation change the number of engines has been reduced almost to a minimum: a 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 422 hp in the G 500 version and the 4.0-liter V8 with 585 hp equipment the Mercedes-AMG G 63, the most sporting option. This will change in the short term with the arrival of the expected diesel version. The new Mercedes-Benz G 350d is already a reality. Finally the first diesel version of the new G Class will be released next year, but the German brand has already revealed all the details about this interesting engine that will undoubtedly fill an important space among drivers who will run a great amount of miles per year to board this off-road monster. It is clear that the most relevant that presents the new Mercedes-Benz G 350d is under his hood. It is a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with 286 hp and 600 Nm of maximum torque, coupled with a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as well as a full-drive system. Mercedes-Benz is very clear about this diesel version: “The new six-cylinder in-line diesel engine makes the new G Class the most efficient in all-terrain history.”

The new Mercedes-Benz G 350d complies with the Euro 6d-TEMP standard. The diesel engine that drives the new G Class is part of the OM 656 family of engines. It was possible to make the German model comply with the emission standard thanks to different technological solutions, such as the use of a selective reduction catalyst ) and a particulate filter. Also makes use of AdBlue. When driving in ECO mode the Mercedes-Benz G 350d will seek maximum fuel economy. When raising the foot of the accelerator the clutch will be deactivated to benefit from the ‘coasting’. The clutch activates again when the accelerator or brake pedal is engaged. We must bear in mind that the DYNAMIC SELECT system allows you to choose between five driving modes. On the other hand, Mercedes-Benz also highlights that the engine has a really quiet operation and that the level of vibration is reduced. The new Mercedes-Benz G 350d will go on sale from next January 2019. The first deliveries will reach the dealerships starting in March.
